
The Oak Ridge Fire first sparked around 2:40 p.m. on June 28, about 5 to 8 miles southwest of St. Michaels. Over 600 firefights have been assigned. BIA Wildland Fire Management – Navajo Region stated that in a matter of minutes, the fire covered the length of two football fields, with flames reaching 200 feet.
